Still Wondering why would they sent so early:(..never understand crazy CIS and its dynamic policies..
I thought many who had submitted in July 2007 (July fiasco) had got FP notice...but not sure....
anyways, does anyone know about what I am asking...once you get the biometrics processing stamp, does that mean that they have sumibbted for security clearance usiung the fingerprints or does it mean that the security clrearance is done ?

I read somewhere that if you can provide a letter from the company stating that you are on an extended maternity leave and also that company has no problems with that, you maintain your status even though you are not getting paid.

The application was received on 7/10 and the checks were cashed today - How will you receive the resceipt number ? Would it come in the mail?

As per my understanding 10 days is from the time you change your permanent address. Due to lease constraint I also had two apartments at same time. I filled online AR-11 within 10 days after I moved to new apartment.

Unless the country cap is removed from EB immigration - things will not change for folks from India.
Have you noticed that when it comes to giving amnesty, there is always a special clause that exempts illegals from country caps? Ever wonder why?

Finally, I am current now, I spoke to IO today again ( Again means I call them every month, every week atleast once & So far I got Nice IO's)
She said your case is in current processing time, has not been yet assigned to any officer. checked all the status NC/SC/FP, everything is clear, just waiting for an officer to be assigned. call back after 15-20 days If I dont get any response.
I wanted to know that what impact does one have for calling IO's multiple times.

Applied for 2nd AP & EAD last week.
The title gives the impression that EB3 - India is Current! Appropriate title could have been "My EB3-India petition is current"
She said your case is in current processing time, has not been yet assigned to any officer. checked all the status NC/SC/FP, everything is clear, just waiting for an officer to be assigned. call back after 15-20 days If I dont get any response.

My colleague paid $340 recently for renewal of EAD. He was July 2007 AOS filer.

"If you are filing for an extension of your Employment Authorization and your Form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence, was filed before July 30, 2007, then you must pay the $340 filing fee."
So I suggest check with Lawyer.

My experience with the evaluators was the same. Well, not mine but my wife's. She had to use the people the school told her to.

If you are on H1B status your employer has to cancel your visa once they lay you off. You need to transfer your H1 before they cancel it, otherwise you will be out of status.

I was in the same boat as you. I did not get my wife's AOS receipt but all others ( 5 out of 6) . But when the FP notices came with her AOS receipt number on it, I thought USCIS may have misplaced the receipt.
Right after the fingerprint, we received this LUD on her AOS case:
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Notice returned as undeliverable.
On October XX, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.
I was shocked. I have emailed the company law firm and I'm awaiting response from them.... Have they mistyped their own address since that is supposed to go to them? Or USCIS is just pulling my legs?

I tend to agree, the first B&W one is the best in terms of composition. The new ones are not as "calm" somehow. I thought getting the railing to go all the way to the top corner would be better, but actually I think it is distracting. Interesting, maybe I learned something here. :p
